Voor deze heb je geen corn syrup nodig is het hierdoor veel minder zoet wat somige niet lekker vind van de ander recept.
Preheat oven to 350F
3 large eggs
2 large egg yolks
1.25 cups sugar
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softly melted)
0.5 cup unsulfured molasses
2 cups pecans (here I think lightly toasted are nicer in combination with the bourbon)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
0.25 cup bourbon
0.5 teaspoon salt
9 in pie crust
Whisk eggs, yolks, and sugar together until smooth and creamy. Blend in the butter, molasses, pecans, vanilla, bourbon, and salt until smooth. Pour into the pie shell. Bake for 35 min's then check the temperature in the center. When it's 200F remove and let cool.
