Weber heeft niet veel geleerd van hun problemen met de SmokeFire 
Vier dagen geleden postte Weber Nederland foto’s op Instagram van de Weber Summit Kamado E6, de nieuwe versie van de Summit Charcoal waarbij het gas gedeelte verwijderd is.
In de VS is deze barbecue vorige maand op de markt gekomen en waren er klachten over het onderstel. Dat zou door de constructie ervoor zorgen dat deze Summit een beetje wiebelt. Niet fijn natuurlijk en ook niet iets dat je verwacht van een barbecue van 1100 euro.
Weber heeft gezien het bericht op hun Amerikaanse site een oplossing die binnenkort wordt uitgerold.
Ik ben dol op mijn Webers, laat ik dat voorop stellen, maar er is de laatste tijd toch wel iets mis bij Weber.
De SmokeFire was niet goed getest en had heel veel kinderziektes. Bij een deel van de Premiums was een probleem met de onderste regelschuif waardoor deze niet goed afsloot. En nu dit weer.
De nieuwe producten worden te snel in de markt gezet zonder ze eerst grondig te testen.
Uiteindelijk worden de problemen wel opgelost maar als early adopter ben je er tegenwoordig niet zeker van dat je het uiteindelijke model koopt.
Dus ben je in de markt voor een nieuwe Weber kijk dan naar een oud, vertrouwd model als je het niet ziet zitten om later misschien modificaties uit te moeten voeren.

In late November, we launched the Summit Kamado E6 Charcoal Grill for charcoal fanatics looking to unlock the wide variety of flavor and food possibilities available from kamado-style grilling.
During the initial production of the grill, while product orders arrived at our customers’ homes, we became aware of a “wobbling” effect to the grill stand. While a very slight wobble is expected in a stand versus a welded design, we have determined the current stand does not meet our high-quality standards. Please note there are no safety concerns with the Summit Kamado E6 Charcoal Grill.
This mirrors valuable feedback from a few owners of the Summit Kamado E6 Charcoal Grill on their experience with this new product. We thank these owners for their comments and questions – it is very much appreciated.
For our grillers, we won’t settle for anything less than an exceptional experience with the Summit Kamado E6 – or any of our products. And we certainly would have liked to identify this issue with the stand much sooner.
We’re working to resolve this quickly. We stand behind the high performance of the Summit Kamado E6 and the great food it will help you share with family and friends.
